  <dc:description>A monthly magazine started and written by Fr Lester SJ and continued by Fr Tigar SJ.  In 1969 it amalgamated with the Messenger.  It was a Catholic magazine for the Catholic home and contained articles and answered enquiries as well as giving news of Osterley and asking for donations for Osterley.  For 1913-1939 it has been bound into years.  Thereafter it is unbound and has some missing months. For the period March 1942-December 1945 Stella Maris was specifically for the forces, then it reverted to be a magazine for the Catholic home.  The missing issues are:  November 1941;  September 1942; August 1943; October 1944; July, August 1945;  February, August 1946;  January, April 1947; April 1949;  February 1953;  December 1961;  July 1965;  September, December 1968; 1969 January, February, March, April, May, July, August, September. November 1969 was the final issue of Stella Maris.    Three issues although present are missing pages: April 1944 lacks pp 51-52, March 1945 lacks pp 33-38, April 1945 lacks pp 51-52.</dc:description>
