Cardinal Girolamo Maria Gotti, O.C.D., Cardinal-Deacon of S.Maria Della Scala This photograph shows Cardinal Gotti standing in formal pose, bareheaded and with hat in hands, in his robes of office; Cardinal Gotti was born in Genoa on 29th March 1834 and ordained priest on 20th December 1856; he was appointed Titular Archbishop of Petra in Aegypto on 22nd March 1892 and ordained Bishop on 27th March 1892; he was elevated to Cardinal on 29th November 1895 and appointed Cardinal-Deacon of S.Maria Della Scala on 29th November 1895; he died on 19th March 1916, aged 82.
