Rev Hugh Chisholm, Diocese of Paisley This old photograph shows Rev Hugh Chisholm, dressed in 19th century clerical clothes, in a formal studio portrait and is signed on the back by Rev Chisholm; Rev Chisholm was born at Listrie, Inverness-shire on 19th October 1830 and ordained priest at Valladolid on 30th May 1854; he died at St Mirin's, Paisley, on 24th June 1908 in the 54th year of his priesthood and aged 77; full details of Rev Chisholm's life can be found on pp 264 to 266 of The Catholic Directory for 1909.
