  <dc:description>This engraving shows a portrait of Bishop George Hay; Bishop Hay was born on 24th August 1729 and was a convert from episcopalianism; he was ordained a priest in Rome on 2nd April 1758; he was nominated titular bishop of Daulia and coadjutor vicar apostolic on 5th October 1768, and consecrated at Scalan on 21st May 1769; he wa succeeded on 3rd December 1778 and resigned on 24th August 1805; he died in Aquhorties on 15th October 1811.</dc:description>
