He was educated at Stonyhurst and joined the novitiate at Roehampton in 1950. After a juniorate at Roehampton, his philosophy and theology studies were both completed at Heythrop, Oxfordshire. Between these he studied for a teaching diploma at Roehampton, took an MA in history at Campion Hall, and taught for two years' regency at Stonyhurst. He was ordained at the Sacred Heart, Wimbledon, 1 August 1965, and after a fourth year theology made his tertianship at St Beuno's under Fr Paul Kennedy SJ. After tertianship he taught for a year at Mount St Mary's, and then returned to Stonyhurst as teacher and later chaplain for eight years. In 1975 he joined The Way community at Southwell House, as a writer and a director of the Spiritual Exercises, and then in 1983 he established the Inigo Centre. This moved to Campion House, Osterley in 1987 as Inigo Enterprises. In 1996 he moved to Campion Hall in Oxford where, as a brief spell as bursar, he continued to direct Inigo Enterprises until 2013. In that year he retired to Corpus Christie, Boscombe. He died in Poole Hospital 17 February 2019. He was there following a fall in the garden at Boscombe. He was 86 years old and in the 69th year of religious life. </Nationality>
