Description	A sample selection of photographs taken from boxes and albums held in the JVC office and taken from the JVC hard drive at the time of JVC's closure in 2014. The hardcopy and digital photographs cover volunteers and communities from 1987/88 through to 2013/14. Where possible, the sample selection includes at least one group photograph of each year group together with some of the main activities carried out in the course of the year, particularly the residential weekends. There are only one or two photographs of JVC community houses and only a scattering of staff or management photographs. The attribution of dates was based on the original organisation of the photographs in drawers with labelled dividers and in folders on the hard drive - no attempt has been made to reorganise photographs even in situations where it seemed likely a photograph might be chronologically out of place (this is particular the case for the hardcopy photographs from the early to mid 1990s and for some of the digital photographs). Accordingly when looking for a photograph from a particular year, it may be necessary to check the years on either side.
