Description | 1874 - Brothers arrive in Dumfries and set up 'St. Joseph's' - novitiate and school in the old infirmary buildings on Craig's Road. In 1877, the Brothers purchased Laurelmont and renamed it Mount St. Michael's, using it as a novitiate.
